BRCC Announces Fall Course Schedule

Blue Ridge Community College has released its Fall schedule of courses for the Economic & Workforce Development/Continuing Education program, according to Julie Thompson, Vice President for EWD/CE.

A wide variety of courses will be offered at a combination of two facilities -- the main campus in Henderson County and the Transylvania County campus in Brevard – and through online learning via the Internet.

“The Learning for Work courses and programs of study focus on specific skill development for the workplace,” Thompson says. “These courses differ from the College’s regular curriculum programs of study. Training is usually short in length and focused on improving workplace skills or on personal enrichment. There is literally something for everyone.”

There are 14 different categories of Learning for Work courses, including business management, computers, advanced manufacturing, career planning and placement and small business services. complete article
