PROPER POT BUSINESS HOLDING STEADY

Operating a successful business during an economic downturn is by no means easy, but Beth and Larry Canady have made adjustments in their business practices that have resulted in their store in downtown Brevard at least “holding steady” on sales and profitability.

 

“Back in 2008 we felt that tough times were ahead, and we realized that we would need to have especially good control over operating expenses. One of the decisions we made was to be more cautious about our buying practices,” Larry says. More 

 

ECONOMIC ALLIES MEET

Economic Allies

Twenty-one members of the Transylvania County Economic Allies group came together in Brevard on December 17 to exchange ideas for programs and activities to provide further assistance and support to local businesses.

 

The meeting was held at Blue Ridge Community College's new Applied Technology Building on the Transylvania campus. More
